Terms of use
Last updated
These terms cover the Blok Sessions app and this website. They’re written to be read. If something is unclear, email hello@bloksessions.com.
Blok Sessions is made by Frank Blokdijk, trading as KMFFWJD (KvK 42113691), in the Netherlands (“we”, “us”).
Training is at your own risk
Bouldering and climbing training can injure you. Finger training, campus boards and high-intensity blocks in particular put real load on tendons and pulleys.
- The exercises, prescriptions and plans in Blok Sessions are general information for experienced climbers. They are not medical advice, physiotherapy or personal coaching, and they don’t know your body, history or current injuries.
- You decide what to train and how hard. Warm up, stay within what you can recover from, and stop if something hurts.
- If you’re injured, returning from injury, or unsure whether a block suits you, ask a physiotherapist or qualified coach first.
The app
The app is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these terms. Where the two conflict, Apple’s agreement wins for anything about the licence itself.
You can use the app as a guest without an account. If you create one, keep your sign-in details to yourself; you can delete the account at any time in Settings.
Blok Sessions Pro
Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store, as a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase. Apple handles payment, billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds under its own terms. A subscription renews each month until you cancel it in your Apple ID settings. The one-time purchase never renews.
We may add, change or retire features over time. If we ever remove a Pro feature that you paid for once, we’ll replace it with something of comparable value or tell you how to get a refund through Apple.
Your training data
Your training log is yours. We don’t claim ownership of anything you record. If you sign in, you give us permission to store and back up that data only so we can provide the service to you. What we store, and how to get it back or delete it, is in the privacy policy.
Fair use
Please don’t:
- try to access other people’s accounts or data, or get around the app’s security;
- overload, scrape or automate requests against our servers, including the waitlist form;
- copy and republish the exercise catalogue as a whole.
We may suspend an account that does these things.
This website
The website describes the app and runs a launch waitlist. Joining the waitlist is free, and it doesn’t create an account or commit you to anything. The details are in the privacy policy. Prices on the website are a guide; the App Store shows the actual price in your currency.
Liability
We build Blok Sessions carefully, but it’s provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for injuries from training, for lost data, or for indirect loss. None of this limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence, and none of it affects your rights as a consumer.
Changes and law
If these terms change, this page is updated along with the date at the top. For a change that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
Dutch law applies. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory consumer law, and you can bring a claim in your home courts.
