How to do it
Pick one or more 4-6 move problems you've climbed before. At the start of each minute, climb one, then rest for whatever is left of that minute. Do 6 minutes in a row. If you fall, rest and go again at the start of the next minute.
Who it’s for
Six minutes, one boulder, high density. It’s the shortest useful power endurance session there is and it fits at the end of almost anything.
Common mistakes
- A problem that’s too long. Four to six moves. Longer and there’s no rest left in the minute.
- A problem you can’t climb reliably. You need six goes at it.
- Chasing the clock after a fall. Rest and start again on the next minute.
How to progress
Worse holds or a longer problem, so less of each minute is rest. Six minutes is the format; keep it.
When it fits
The training periods this exercise fits into in Blok Sessions.
- Power Endurance Keep your power through one hard move after another.
