How to do it
Climb an easy route or wall section up and down for 1 minute, rest 1 minute, repeat 10 rounds. Finish tired and pumped, not failed early.
Who it’s for
A first taste of structured endurance. Ten rounds on easy ground builds the capacity that longer sessions sit on, and it’s easy to fit into a busy wall.
Common mistakes
- Climbing too hard. Easy ground. If a move stops you, the round is wasted.
- Failing in round three. Pumped by round ten is the target. Failing early means the section is too hard.
- Resting more than a minute. The clock is the exercise.
How to progress
Harder holds or steeper ground before more rounds. Ten rounds at a level you can just finish is a complete session.
