How to do it
Pick 3 boulders you've already sent that felt hard at the time. Spend about 10 minutes on each, climbing it again and looking for better beta, more precise foot placements, and smoother flow. Rest 2-3 minutes between attempts.
Who it’s for
Turning a boulder you scraped up into one you climb well. Old projects are the best place to work on efficiency, because you already know what hard feels like on them.
Common mistakes
- Repeating the same beta. Look for better sequences. That’s the point.
- Rushing through all three. Ten minutes each, with real rests.
- Choosing boulders that felt easy. Pick ones that felt hard at the time.
How to progress
Move to more recent sends as your grade goes up. The measure is whether it now feels comfortable, not whether you can still do it.
