How to do it

Place each hand and foot exactly once, as if it's glued the moment it touches: no readjusting, no shuffling. Start on easy boulders and work up to your flash level. Climb 5-6 boulders with 3 attempts each.

Who it’s for

Committing to a placement first time, which is what precision actually means. Most climbers readjust constantly without noticing.

Common mistakes

  • Small readjustments that don’t count. They count.
  • Starting too hard. Easy boulders first, then work up to flash level.
  • Rushing. Look at the hold, decide where your hand goes, then place it.

How to progress

Harder boulders, then steeper ground where readjusting costs more. It pairs well with quiet climbing, since both come from looking before you place.
