Everfit or Blok Sessions for coaching climbers?
Short answer
Both are free for your first 5 clients and free for the clients themselves. Everfit is a general fitness coaching platform built for selling online coaching, with check-in forms you write, messaging and add-ons for payments. Blok Sessions is built for climbing: climbers log boulders with grade and goes, finger tests and a check-in before training, and finger pain goes to the top of your screen. Past 5, Blok Sessions is €10 a month or €99 a year for up to 25. Pick Everfit to sell packages in the app. We make Blok Sessions.

Coaching climbers? The coach area is free for up to 5 climbers: their plans, what they log and who has a sore finger, in one place.

Where Everfit is better
It's built to run an online coaching business. You write your own intake and weekly check-in forms, message clients with voice notes, sell packages and take payment, and automate the messages a new client gets. Climbing coaches sell finger rehab programs on it too.
Where Blok Sessions is better for climbers
- Climbers log what they climbed: each boulder as a flash, a send or an attempt, with the grade and the goes. You see that on their page next to the plan.
- The plan is climbing-shaped. Each day is on the wall, a skills day or off the wall, and every exercise carries its minutes, intensity and injury risk.
- Finger pain from the check-in goes to the top of your screen, and you can change today's session from their page.
- Workload shows each climber's training against their own usual week, finger load on its own.
- Squads: adult and youth, team trainings with attendance, and a parent's yes for climbers under 16.
What Blok Sessions doesn't do
No payments from your clients, no packages, no forms of your own, the Android app still in review (climbers use the web app until then). It's new and small.
Which to pick
Selling online programs to many clients, climbers among them: Everfit. Coaching climbers one on one or in squads, and wanting to see their climbing: Blok Sessions. Both are free for 5, so try the one you're unsure about with a few climbers first.
Questions
Is Everfit free for climbing coaches?
Everfit's Starter plan is free for up to 5 clients. Blok Sessions is free for up to 5 climbers. Both charge by the number of clients past that.
Can I sell coaching packages in Blok Sessions?
No. You take payment from your climbers however you do now. Blok Sessions only charges you for the coach area, by how many climbers are in it.
Can I write my own check-in questions?
In Everfit, yes, with its forms. In Blok Sessions the check-in is fixed: sleep, body, head, how keen they are and whether anything hurts, and where. Every question can be skipped, and it never stops a climber starting a session.
Does Blok Sessions do squads as well as one on one?
Yes. One-on-one climbers and squads sit in the same coach area. Squads can be adult or youth, with weekly team trainings and attendance.
