How to do it
Pick the 8 hardest boulders you've topped in the gym. You get 5 minutes per boulder, including rest, to climb it again. When the timer moves on, so do you - even if you didn't send.
Who it’s for
Testing your top end under a clock. Repeating your hardest sends with five minutes each is a hard, honest session and a good benchmark.
Common mistakes
- Spending all five minutes climbing. Rest is inside the window. Plan it.
- Going back to a boulder. When the timer moves on, so do you.
- Doing it on a tired day. It’s a test. Come to it fresh, or the result means nothing.
How to progress
Run it every few weeks with the same eight boulders and track how many you repeat. When most of them go, your list of hardest sends has changed anyway.
When it fits

- Endurance Climb longer before you pump out, by moving efficiently.
